Knox and District Toy Library Response to COVID-19 (18th March 2020)

As you will be aware coronavirus (COVID-19) has now been declared a pandemic. We recognise the need to play our part in slowing down the spread of the virus and protecting our community’s health.

The safety of our members, staff and volunteers is the utmost priority.

We have been monitoring the situation and have made the decision that this Friday 20th March will be our last session for the near future. Late fines will not be accrued over this time and all memberships will be extended for the duration of our temporary closure.

Toys will not need to be returned until the toy library reopens.

Please find below how we will manage returns and borrowing this week.

RETURNS – will NOT be permitted into the library
Please keep the toys you currently have on loan at home.
All toys you currently have will now be extended until we reopen.

BORROWING – toy packs available this Thursday and Friday
With children likely to be home more, we understand that this is the time that families most need toys and to continue playing.

Members can come into the toy library in one of the below sessions and collect a toy pack (this is in addition to the toys you currently have on loan).

We are implementing the toy packs to minimise the number of people within the toy library and to practise social distancing as recommended by the Department of Health.

Session times this week
Thursday 19th March: 11am – 12pm
Friday 20th March: 10am – 12pm

During these sessions:

Toy packs available
Please find below the toy packs that we will have available.

If you would like to order a pack, please email with your name, the age of your child/ren and what day you will be collecting it.
On arrival to the toy library, hand washing is available in the bathroom / kitchen together with hand sanitiser being available.
